An Victorian 5-bedroom family home has been fully refurbished and extended to the rear to create a new kitchen and dining area that opens out to a terrace and landscaped garden. The client played an active role in the development as they sought to create an interior that combined both traditional qualities of the original house alongside elements of modern design such as the up and over window and bi-fold doors. The new living area features a large bespoke kitchen and wine cellar to accommodate the client’s wine collection. The upper floors have been reconfigured to create a large master bedroom with new en-suite showers, bathrooms and a walk-in wardrobe.
Full height glazed folding doors, an up-and-over window and a full width roof light located between the original rear facade and the new extension provide excellent daylight levels.
