Two semi-detached townhouses; 1 x 3-storey and 1 x 2-storey plus basement level have recently been completed in Twickenham. Bubble architects have designed the townhouses to retain the Sycamore tree to the front as required by Richmond Council’s Planning Department. The facade of the 3-storey house is aligned with the adjacent terrace buildings which are in the conservation area. The 2-storey building to the left has been set back to enable the Sycamore tree to be retained. The internal ceiling heights have been increased by stepping up the roof as it sets back from the front facade. 4 car park spaces are located to the rear of the gardens with a gated access to the side of the buildings. The townhouses have been designed to maximise the use of natural daylight utilizing a variety of window types including high level glazing in the bathrooms. The interior design follows a contemporary concept with high quality ceramic floor tiles at ground and basement level and engineered timber floor boards on the upper levels all with underfloor heating, Quartz kitchen worktop, designer sanitary ware, bespoke built-in wardrobes, shadow gap skirtings and architraves.
